The Anti Hepatitis A Virus (HAV) - Total is a blood test to detect the presence of the antibody (IgM/IgG) to the Hepatitis A virus, and thus, Hepatitis A infection. Patients infected with HAV may experience a combination of gastrointestinal symptoms such as stomach ache, nausea, cramps, vomiting or loose stools. The virus can also be transmitted through close physical or sexual contact with an infected individual.
