The Cancer Antigen 15.3 (CA 15.3) test measures the level of CA 15.3 in the blood. It is a tumour marker test used to assess the effectiveness of breast cancer treatment and its recurrence risk. Many patients with cancerous breast tumours produce an increased amount of CA 15.3 and this enters the bloodstream.
