Hepatitis C virus causes Hepatitis C infection, which is basically an inflammation of the liver. HCV Antibody test is used to detect Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) infection. If the HCV Antibody test comes back positive, further tests need to be conducted to check whether the infection is chronic or not.
