The Hepatitis B Envelope Antigen test is used for the diagnosis of active Hepatitis B infection. Hepatitis B Envelope Antigen test result indicates the presence of the active form of the virus. It also shows that the infection can be transferred to others through infected blood, sharing infected needles, sexual intercourse and from mother to child. Symptoms of acute hepatitis B infections are fever, loss of appetite, fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, dark urine, joint pain, jaundice (yellowish discolouration of the body) and clay-coloured stools.
