Herpes Simplex Virus2 (HSV) - IgG test is used to diagnose an HSV-2 infection by measuring the level of herpes IgG antibody in the blood. It detects the specific IgG antibodies produced by our body after the HSV2 infection. This test is also helpful in differentiating between infections caused by HSV types 1 and 2.
