The Silver Test is used for the diagnosis of silver poisoning that may result from excessive intake or inhalation of the metal. It detects levels of silver in the blood sample. Silver in any form is hazardous to the body as it affects the immunological, cardiovascular, neurological or reproductive systems. Prolonged inhalation of soluble silver may result in argyria or argyrosis.
